The Tokyo Club is Japan's first members-only social club, founded in 1884. This project, undertaken on the occasion of the club's move from Kasumigaseki to a new building in Roppongi designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, involved selecting both old and new art, calligraphy, and other works to be installed within the building. A piezography system was used to recreate elements of the club's previous buildings, including the Kunio Maekawa-designed interior of the Kasumigaseki Building. These photographic works were installed in the new building to show respect for and relay the history of the Tokyo Club.
