Categories :
Planning & Coordination of Symposiums & International Conferences
On the proposal of Masayoshi Homma, Chairman of the Japanese Association of Art Critics (AICA Japan), efforts were initiated to hold the congress of the Association Internationale des Critiques d'Art (AICA) in Asia. To achieve this goal, N&A set up the Office of the AICA Japan Congress 1998 and organized said congress in collaboration with AICA Japan. The program consisted of official sessions, open symposia, and optional tours of the Kansai region, and saw participation by many art critics from Europe, the United States, and the rest of Asia. The congress provided an opportunity for experts from around the world to meet in the context of timely themes surrounding art, publish papers, and engage in debate.
