In an age of numerous visual images and with art reflecting this environment, many artworks have come to depend heavily on such images. As television is notably one of the most familiar means of conveying visual images, Spiral TV was created to explore the relationship between art and television. Fabrice Hybert likened the atrium of Spiral to a TV station's studio, and Spiral TV went on to feature various events, performances, and talk shows during a constantly changing project that involved a wide range of artists.
