This exhibition featured some 80 evening dresses, mainly from the collection of the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris (Palais Galliera). The works, created from the 1850s to the 1990s, were arranged into eight sections, imparting an understanding of how the dresses reflect changes in culture and how haute couture itself has undergone transformations during the past 150 years.
