N&A headed the Obayashi Corporation Art Project, which was the first fully-fledged corporate art project in Japan. The project received wide acclaim both in Japan and abroad for promoting a diverse range of internationally regarded artists from Europe, the US, and other countries in Asia. By attempting a bold fusion of architectural space and art—with artistic expression given to the functional parts of the building, such as walls and staircases—the project represents a watershed moment for the creation of new value in the office space.
